We get chatting with Katie who supplied our shoot with an artificial flower bouquet and flower crown. Read on to find out more about what she does.
How did you get into your business?
By chance, I’d finished my decorating /design business, and that Christmas started baking wreaths with my mum and year on year got bigger and bigger then started with flowers all year round
What do you love about what you do?
The joy I can bring to others with my creativity
What was your inspiration behind the shoot?
My inspiration for the shoot think modern day darling buds of May, soft, romantic, natural
What is your favourite image from the shoot?
I love this one! It’s featured in Your North East Magazine and it captures the look I was going for.
If you could go back to when you first thought about setting up your business and give yourself one bit of advice what would it be?
Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
Harry Potter or Lord of the rings?!
Lord of the rings!
What is your most popular item or package?
Fresh door wreaths, but the flower crowns have had a lot of interest.
Katie really blew us away with the flower crown for our shoot. It was the perfect combination of colours and it was big and beautiful! It stayed on without a bother all day.
What are you working on at the minute?
We’re starting to look at autumn door wreaths and new Christmas styles .
Where do you see your business in the future?
To expand on the artificial side of the business, hopefully growing in to full time rather than just seasonal
If a couple like your style how do they get in touch?

Once a couple has found you what can they expect from the process from first getting in touch through to their wedding day?
First phone consultation, to get an idea of what they think they would like, then normally some sort of mood boards photo images, then meeting with samples and then contact as much as they require up to the big day to early morning set up .
What’s your best advice to couples planning their wedding?
Ask lots of questions and take your time making decisions .
