A Romantic intimate wedding down in Ouseburn.
As a wedding photographer I get to see everything that goes on and love building amazing relationships with my couples to really learn about who they are and all about their love story!
Fee & Adam
Small & Intimate
Fee and Adam were all about the marriage.
For this lovely couple they really just wanted to get married. They didn’t want a massive fuss and at one point even considered not having a photographer!
I was delighted when they decided to ask me to be part of their day.
Fee and Adam didn’t want to follow any traditional rules, they both got ready at Adams Dads house. Don’t worry, Fee still did a reveal to the family when she was ready and boy did she look stunning! Here’s a pic of Adams face on first sight of his beautiful bride.
Personal Touches
The couples personality was reflected so subtly throughout the day
Everything meant something and all of the guests understood what each piece meant to the couple. My favourite was the earrings the bride wore which were gifted to her – teeny dinosaurs because, well, why not?!
Another really beautiful touch to the day was the red roses that appeared not only in Fees bouquet but also as button holes and in art work in their home. I won’t say what this meant, only that it meant everything x
Ernest
I was introduced to Ernest by Fee when she told me this was where they were holding their reception. It’s cool, urban and quirky. Needless to say I fell in love with it straight away!
Ouseburn in Newcastle is a hub of cool and quirky independent businesses.
I took the new Mr & Mrs Mulligan on a little adventure around the bridges to capture them with some of the amazing artwork around the area.
To get to the venue everyone jumped on a big red bus!
Super fun and everyone loved it.
Moments that matter
I almost always get asked by the couple to focus on a particular aspect of their day. For some it’s their kids, others their dogs, or they have a big suprise planned for someone, or the couples shots are really important to them. For Fee and Adam it was family and memories.
I mentioned the significance of the red rose on their day but there was also one other request and that was to get as many pictures as possible of Fees Grandad.
Challenge accepted! I’m pretty sure he spent the whole day actively trying to avoid getting his photo taken!
