About me

How I CaptureYour Day

Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot - it’s a story, and my job is to capture it as it naturally unfolds.

I take a relaxed, documentary approach, focusing on real moments rather than anything overly posed or forced. From the big, emotional highlights to the in-between glances you didn’t even realise were happening, I’m there to quietly observe and document it all as it is.

That said, I know being in front of the camera can feel a bit daunting so I’ll gently guide you when you need it.

Nothing stiff or awkward, just a bit of direction to help you feel comfortable, natural, and completely yourselves.

Throughout the day, I blend in more like a guest than a supplier. I’ll chat with your family, have a laugh, and keep things feeling easy and relaxed all while keeping an eye on the moments that matter most. You can trust me to be in the right place at the right time, without ever interrupting what’s happening.

When it comes to family photos, I keep things organised, efficient, and stress-free. We’ll plan your group shots ahead of time so nothing gets missed, and on the day I’ll gently take the lead to keep everything running smoothly - no chaos, no long waits, just a quick, easy experience so you can get back to enjoying your day.

For your couple portraits, we’ll keep things simple and unhurried. A short wander, a bit of breathing space together, and some natural, honest moments.

No long photoshoots, no pressure, just time to take it all in. And if you’re up for something a bit more “epic” whether that’s a stunning backdrop, golden hour light, or a dramatic scene I’m always up for creating something a little special with you too.

By the end of the day, you won’t feel like you’ve been “photographed”  you’ll feel like you’ve fully lived it. And that’s exactly how it should be.

I’m Sarah - a North East girl through and through, happiest by the coast or in a field,  usually with a good cup of coffee not too far away.

Outside of weddings, life is fairly simple and exactly how I like it. I’m married to my husband Mark, who keeps me grounded through the busy seasons, and our home is always full thanks to our two dogs, Izzy and Luna, and our cats, Emmy and Alfie. I’ll happily admit I’m a bit of a crazy dog mam .

Also, a slightly random but important fact - I have a deep, unwavering love for potatoes in all forms. Roast, mash, chips… I’m not fussy.

I’m a big believer that it’s the little, in-between moments that matter most. The quiet, everyday bits of life that you don’t always think twice about. They’re usually the ones that end up meaning everything. It probably explains why I notice those moments so much on a wedding day too.

I’ve always been quite an emotional person (in a good way, I promise). I feel things deeply, I get invested in people, and I genuinely care. Which is exactly what I bring into my work. I’m not just there to take photos, I’m there to be part of your day, to support you, calm any nerves, and quietly capture everything as it unfolds.

If you spend five minutes with me, there’ll probably be a bit of banter. I don’t take myself too seriously, and I like to keep things relaxed and easy, because that’s when people feel most like themselves.

At the heart of it, I’m just someone who loves people, loves stories, and feels incredibly lucky to do this for a living.

Get To Know Me

I shoot with 2 mirrorless Nikon cameras attached to me at all times!

Both cameras have dual card slots so there are always 2 copies of every image, even when I’m loading images I always have 2 copies on different hard drives- you can’t relive those moments at a wedding so it’s so important to me to make sure the images from your day are safe and sound

I believe if we all tried a little harder to make a few positive changes then that adds up to a lot. I make pro active steps in my life and in my business to be green by doing the following things:

  • No paper contracts- it’s all digital

  • We promote vegan album cover material

  • I drive a hybrid to help lower my emissions

  • I often eat meat free

  • I will always bring my reusable coffee cup!

  • I believe in slow fashion and reusing- a lot of my wardrobe is charity shop finds and vinted bargains

Fun fact- my dad saw this pic and thought I’d stuck 2 actual leeks in my harness and didn’t realise it was actually embroidered on the jacket
